1. POLICY STATEMENT
Duna Signature Health Ltd (“Duna”) recognises that climate change represents one of the greatest challenges facing society and healthcare systems today. As a responsible healthcare provider, Duna is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its operations whilst continuing to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
Duna is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and will continuously seek opportunities to reduce emissions generated through its activities, supply chain and healthcare delivery model.
Our commitment aligns with:
  • UK Government Net Zero Strategy
  • NHS Net Zero ambitions
  • The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol
  • Public Procurement Notice (PPN) 06/21
  • Environmental Reporting Guidelines issued by the UK Government
This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines Duna’s baseline position, reduction targets, governance arrangements and planned initiatives to reduce carbon emissions across the organisation.

  • Annual review of carbon emissions.
  • Approval of sustainability objectives.
  • Monitoring progress against reduction targets.
  • Oversight of sustainable procurement.
  • Reporting environmental performance.
Environmental performance shall be reviewed annually as part of Duna’s governance and quality assurance framework.
5. BASELINE EMISSIONS FOOTPRINT
Baseline Year
2026
As Duna is a relatively new organisation, 2026 has been adopted as the baseline year from which future carbon reductions will be measured.
6. CURRENT EMISSIONS PROFILE
Duna reports emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

Scope 1 Emissions

Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources.
Current Position:
  • No owned premises.
  • No company vehicles.
  • No fuel combustion activities.
  • No generators or industrial equipment.
Baseline Emissions:
0 tCO₂e

Scope 2 Emissions

Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heating or cooling.
Current Position:
  • Remote working model.
  • Minimal office infrastructure.
  • Cloud-based systems.
Baseline Emissions:
To be established through annual monitoring and reporting.

Scope 3 Emissions

Indirect emissions arising from organisational activities.

  • Update this Carbon Reduction Plan annually.
  • Monitor progress against objectives.
  • Report environmental performance to senior leadership.
  • Identify new opportunities for emissions reduction.
Where appropriate, future reporting will include quantified emissions data across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 categories.
12. REVIEW
This Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually or sooner if there are significant changes to organisational operations, legislation, procurement requirements or sustainability obligations.
13. DECLARATION
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with Public Procurement Notice (PPN) 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.
